Our 100 pound Golden Retriever has had surgeries on both knees. Now, we confront osteoarthritis. The surgeon and Teddy’s Vet recommended a switch to Dasuguin with MSN rather than Cosequin for Teddy’s joints. Our eight year old is acting like he is four! Teddy springs into the air on his hind legs to jump up on my bed.

Personal experience as a veterinarian has been consistently positive with numerous reports over the years from pet owners that they did not realize the magnitude of the benefit until they allowed their dogs to “go off” the supplement. The usual time lag was 2-4 weeks before they resumed use. Obviously this is not a study per se, the owners who did not resume use probably did not report back as consistently, but still the overwhelming anecdotal evidence from those who care the most (owners) has been positive for nearly thirty years.”
Researched Ingredients: Dasuquin is a multi-synergistic formula. Cell culture research has shown that Dasuquin’s specific glucosamine and low molecular weight chondroitin sulfate synergistically stimulate cartilage matrix production, while ASU also acts synergistically with glucosamine and with chondroitin sulfate. ASU, obtained from avocados and soybeans, helps protect cartilage and support joint function. The combination of Glu, CS and ASU was shown to be more effective than Glu and CS alone at inhibiting expression of several agents involved in cartilage breakdown.

Dasuquin was recommended by my vet, and it works very well. I got my dog off of prescription anti-inflammatories in less than a week. Of course, this is not a miracle cure and when she overdoes it, her limp and stiffness reappear for a few days. However, they do not seem to be as pronounced nor as long lasting as they were before she started on the Dasuquin.
After she was on these for about six months, I wanted to see if the difference was real or coincidental. I decided that when I ran out, I wouldn’t buy more right away. I noticed a reappearance of her limp and increased stiffness after she was off them for a few weeks, which tells me they do make a difference.

Our vet recommended these for our 12 yr old chocolate lab. The added ingredient MSM is something that the vets have been using as an injection for years and he was so glad to tell us about this product. It has made a huge difference and our old boy can lay down and get up much easier. He loves them and eats them right up (I call them a treat and he comes running!). They are not that expensive when you consider that they last almost 3 months. He was on pain medication also, which we have now stopped, and he is doing great. I am going to keep ordering these!

Unbelievably quick and positive impact to our Boxer’s arthritis & displasia
Unbelievable. Our 7 year old slobbering hot mess of a boxer has blown ACL’s (and TPLO surgery), hip displasia and arthritis. He was in good spirits (being a boxer that is a given) but was clearly in a lot of pain – watching him struggle up stairs and wince when sitting was absolutely heartbreaking. The surgical options offered were hip replacement and another TPLO – which was a high risk, high cost and tremendous negative impact on his quality of life. Heartbreaking.
We had tried Dasuquin earlier (first blown ACL) with no results, and out of desperation tried it again.

Creaky hot mess got his puppy wiggles back. Yes, he still has the underlying physical issues, but he is moving MUCH more easily, demonstrates minimal distress (unless he’s done something stupid like tear off after a deer), and is much more mobile and obviously happier. The morning & night dasoquin is a ritual that he absolutely loves and looks forwards to, and it literally took less than a week for the first signs of improvement to show.
We are generally skeptics of “nutritional supplement” claims, but anecdotally we can strongly correlate our Boxer’s dramatic improvement with starting Dasoquin. Initially the $80 a bag was a larger “wild bet” than we wanted to make (hint – Dasoquin – sell $20 ‘evaluation bags’), but in hindsight the cost is absolutely negligible compared to the positive impact on our dog’s quality of life.
Your pet’s mileage may certainly vary, but we wanted to share this one dramatic anecdote of Dasoquin really helping the hairiest member of our family. Five well deserved stars.
